Let's Play Teams

Riko's Team Ladder is designed to allow team bridge to be played against teams of similar ability. It is informal competition between teams for the principal purpose of having fun playing decent bridge. Riko's ladder is completely free and operated soley for the purpose of finding and completing against teams of similar ability. Any four (or more, there is no limit) individuals may form a team and enter the ladder. Each new team begins at the bottom of the ladder. If they defeat a team above them on the ladder they will then be moved to the position above that team. As the team moves up the ladder it is expected that the quality of the brige wil increase and ultimately the teams occupying adjacent positions on the ladder will be of more or less similar ability. Teams generally play their matches online on OKBridge.

Riko's ladder began in early 1997 and at one time had over 100 teams on the ladder with very frequent matches. At this time we have approximately twenty-five to thirty teams with some being relatively inactive. We are interested in ideas that would allow for increased participation. The more activity the ladder has the better chance of providing teams with better matches.
